Cancellation Policy
This page explains how The Speaking Club by Yulia currently works. If you have questions, contact us before booking.
This policy explains cancellations, missed sessions, trial sessions, changes and refunds for fixed weekly groups.
Monthly membership
- Memberships are billed monthly through Stripe.
- Students can request cancellation at any time.
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and the student keeps access until that period ends.
- There is no automatic prorated refund for voluntary cancellation during an active paid period.
Missed sessions
- The weekly group place is reserved for the student.
- If a student misses a session, it normally counts as used and is not refunded.
- Yulia may manually offer a make-up option if possible, but this is not guaranteed and depends on level, availability and group capacity.
Trial session
- A trial session can be rescheduled once if the student contacts Yulia at least 24 hours before the session.
- A trial no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice is normally not refunded.
If Yulia cancels or a group cannot start
- If Yulia cancels a session, she will offer a reasonable alternative: rescheduling, a suitable make-up group or compensation.
- If a group cannot start because the minimum number of students is not reached, Yulia may offer another group, delay the start or refund if no suitable alternative works.
Plan or group changes
- Students can request a change from 1 session/week to 2 sessions/week, from 2 to 1, or a group change.
- For now, these changes are handled manually by Yulia and depend on level, schedule and capacity.
- A plan change must not create two active monthly subscriptions. Future automation should update the existing subscription.
EU consumer withdrawal
- If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. If you ask us to start providing the service before that period ends, and the service has started, your right to a full refund may be affected according to applicable consumer law.
